McConnell’s health has sparked concerns, especially after a recent fall led to a concussion. Despite calls for him to step down, McConnell has remained committed to his Senate role, including fighting against the GOP’s isolationist movement. He plans to relinquish his position as GOP leader in November 2025 but will continue serving until January 2027.
