At 21:00 local time, an American Airlines jet collided with a Black Hawk helicopter near the Potomac River, causing both to crash. The jet carried 60 passengers and 4 crew members, with 19 bodies recovered so far, along with 3 from the helicopter. Air traffic control audio revealed tense exchanges between controllers and pilots before the crash. Despite freezing temperatures and poor visibility, rescue teams continue their search.
